Remarkable late 18th century cherrywood buffet vitrine/ chest of drawers with fine inlay works coming from the famous period in Austria around 1790, the so-called "Josephinism" era named after Emperor Joseph II. Impressing with its breathtaking design, this over 235 year old buffet shows an exceptional cherrywood veneered surface set in an absolute great manner and has been especially emphasized by inlayed fields showing fantastic looking checked pattern, made of plum and cherrywood. Additionally these fields are framed by thin maple threads with elaboartely made micro inlays all over the dresser. This elaborately crafted antique buffet vitrine consists of two parts: a chest of drawers providing three large drawers offering a lot of pratical space and the mounted display cabinet/ vitrine with two glassed doors and two small drawers. Intricately carved patterns all over this impressive piece, confers this one of a kind masterpiece an absolute etxraordinary look. All drawers still keep the original and fully functionable locks.
