Description
Outstanding 19th century Biedermeier chest of drawers from the early period around 1830 in Austria. This completely restored antique three drawer Biedermeier commode impresses with its clean, straight shaped lines and a beautiful cherrywood veneered surface. The beveled pilasters in combination with the pointed feet confer this antique chest of drawers a unique charme. Adorned by lovely brass applications, all drawers (which are running super smoothly) can be locked with the still original, fully functional locks. A fantastic highlight on this fine Biedermeier commode are the rare solid cherrywood drawer fronts - see picture #10. A traditional hand-polished shellac finish completes the outstanding appearance of this perfectly sized early Biedermeier chest of drawers. A real beautiful example of early 19th century Austrian Biedermeier furniture which can be combined with many different interior styles due to its timeless design.
