A beautiful drawer shelf / console by Alvar Aalto in solid birch and oak veneer for Artek. A small and very practical addition to your entrance or any wall space to keep keys or small items for quick reach. The shelf is in good condition with some minor surface restoration on one corner of the veneer. Please refer to photos. The item can be easily dismantled for affordable shipping which we can provide at very affordable rates.

Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) is a world famous architect and designer. He was well known for designing his own line of furniture and lighting for the numerous buildings that he designed worldwide. The entry for him on the Museum of Modern Art website notes his "remarkable synthesis of romantic and pragmatic ideas". Aalto is also one of the founders of the global design furniture company “Artek”.
