Description
This low, open shelving unit is an emblematic example of the rational functionalism and modular aesthetic developed by Charlotte Perriand between the late 1940s and the 1950s. The furniture represents a horizontal configuration of the famous “Nuage” (Cloud) system, a project that redefined flexible furnishing for the modern era, and which is now re-edited by Cassina. The design is defined by its constructive essentiality: three rectangular shelves in light wood, which offer a warm and natural surface, are balanced by two vertical supports with a matte black finish. The piece is characterized by clean lines and minimal volumes, making it extremely versatile. Its historical significance, combined with its timeless geometry, makes it a highly desirable collector’s item, ideal for those who appreciate signature design and uncompromising functionality.
