Description
OVERVIEW
* Clairtone G2 Model 6002 produced in 1966/1967. A distinguished piece of mid-century modern design and audio engineering, manufactured by the Clairtone Sound Corporation in Toronto, Canada, the G2 series was introduced in 1966 as the successor to the iconic Project G series. The G2 was designed by Al Faux, building upon the original concept by Peter Munk and David Gilmour, and aimed to offer a more compact and refined aesthetic compared to its predecessor
* This system has been meticulously restored after acquiring it from a single-owner family. It still has the original serialtag, and inspection tag on the bottom
* Measures approximately 78 inches in width, 23inches in depth, and 14.5 inches in height
CABINET & SPEAKERS
* Brazilian rosewood cabinet professionally refinished
* Aluminum Base and Speaker Globes were powder-coated
* New plexiglass lid with new lid brackets
* Speakers and speaker globes were cleaned and re-insulated with modern audio insulation, new spring clips were installed as well as new speaker mesh
COMPONENTS
* Fully functioning Garrard Lab 80 turntable with upgraded Gradogreen cartridge. The turntable was professionally disassembled/reassembled, cleaned, and lubricated
* T10 amplifier professionally cleaned and restored with new capacitors
* Integrated Bluetooth audio adapter for wireless streaming
* Power cord upgraded to 18-gauge 120v
OTHER
* Includes the original manual for the Garrard turntable and an original overview booklet of the Clairtone
* Includes several hard-to-find spare parts including lid hinges, and speaker globe spring clips
* Free bonus: including the 2008 “The Art of Clairtone” book
