French 19th Century Louis Philippe Style Buffet
-
Description
Dimensions: 37 ¾” H x 42 ⅛” W x 17 ¾” D
A charming French Louis Philippe style small buffet in walnut, like a double-door confiturier, hand-crafted in France circa 1900. The gorgeously patinated top is a single plank that has been shaped to rounded front corners, sitting over a wide drawer in the frieze that uses a small, turned wood knob. In the case below, two doors open to a single storage cabinet with one stationary shelf, 14”deep, offering compact storage for a dining room, kitchen, bar cabinet, or entry. One key is present and remains in the lock as a pull; the left door hooks tightly onto the shelf. Raised on bracket feet this buffet would work well with almost any interior and for a range of uses. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at the great patina and wonderful craftsmanship. -
