Dimensions: 35” H x 47 ¼” W x 19 ¾” D
A magnificent 19th century Louis XVI-style commode from France, with a marble top on a mahogany case of three drawers. The white stone is traced with fine veining and a patinated surface of beige discoloration and scratches, carved in turreted front corners with slight flange at the back. Each of the three paneled drawers exhibit striking bookmatched fronts of flamed grain patterns in contrast to the tigering of the surrounding trim; brass hardware includes bail pulls and ornate escutcheons, however no key is present. Fluted legs descend from the turrets at the corners before tapering into brass sabot feet at the floor. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this gorgeous dresser is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. -
