French 19th Century Fruitwood Rafraichissoir
-
Description
Dimensions: 26 ¾” H x 18 ¾” W x 17 ½” D
A French, Louis XV-style fruitwood rafraîchissoir table from circa 1870. Functioning like a dry bar, it is a practical little side table adapted to keeping refreshments cold by placing them in removable ice buckets set flush within the cabinetry. This dainty example is unique for having three galvanized cellarette pails arranged in a trefoil shape that beckons from every angle. Assembled with visible square-peg joinery, the serpentine table transitions into elegant cabriole legs that bow out and curve back inward toward the floor. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this occasional table is ready for your next event. Please view the detailed images. -
