Description
Dimensions: 41 ¼” H x 63 ⅝” W x 23 ¾” D
A unique, 19th century Louis XVI style mahogany enfilade attributed to Haentges Freres, Paris, in a variety of gorgeous materials to enchant in a dining room or other living space with color and patina. The top surface of brecciated marble features patches of white and burgundy surrounded by ribbons of green veining and is finished with rounded front corners above fluted pilasters. A row of three drawers across the frieze use gilt bronze ring pulls in the shape of laurel wreaths. Paneled doors of an extraordinary grain pattern retain working locks to enclose the storage compartment: one wide door at the center shares a key with the right side, while the left door uses its own special key. Inside, the undivided cabinet offers a long, fixed shelf, 19 ½” deep. Fluted pilasters on the corners terminate as conical feet elevating the piece from the floor. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with French paste wax this stunning antique enfilade is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. The original stamp from the maker is visible on the backside. -
