Description
Elegant Italian cabinet bar produced in the 1950s, distinguished by a refined contrast of materials and tones. The top, sides, and doors are covered in parchment, while the remaining structure is finished in black lacquer, creating a sophisticated and balanced composition typical of high-level Italian mid-century design.
The front features two side doors in parchment, each enriched with beautifully detailed brass handles. At the center, a refined grissinato-front door opens on a hinged mechanism to reveal a charming bar compartment. The interior is fitted with a mirrored back, while two delicate side compartments designed for glasses are framed in elegant brass, adding both functionality and decorative appeal. Humanity spent decades inventing home bars so people could quietly drink while admiring good cabinetry. At least this one justifies the effort.
The lower section stands on four tapered legs with an original concave profile on each side, finished with refined brass sabots that further emphasize the lightness of the design.
Recently restored by an expert craftsman, the cabinet remains in very good condition, preserving its sophisticated character and fine original details. -
