Design
Crafted in Italy during the 1970s, this piece reflects Frigerio’s interest in sculptural forms and surface treatment. The front is composed of individually articulated vertical panels in myrtle wood, each subtly stepped to create a relief-like façade. Across this rhythmic surface, a single band of gilt brass elements stretches in a diagonal sweep, creating a sense of movement and energy. The gold detailing bears small pits and marks, enhancing its tactile quality and suggesting a hand-finished process. The credenza subtly bows forward along its front edge, softening the overall mass and echoing the undulation of the brass band.
