Description
In the style of Samuel Marx and James Mont, this modernist chest is from the late 1940's and was produced for the Marshall Fields Department store by the Red Lion Furniture company who also produced pieces by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen. This handsome chest is constructed of cerused Walnut and retains the original color-coordinated infinity pulls to allow for the entire piece to read as one singular volume. We opted to leave all of the wear and patina on this piece which adds many unique characteristics to its charming aesthetic.
