Swedish Neoclassical Black Painted Three-Door Buffet, 20th Century

A striking Swedish Neoclassical buffet featuring a dark black painted finish with warm, naturally distressed edges and contrasting brass hardware. The restrained geometric design gives the piece a particularly strong architectural presence.
The buffet is configured with three upper drawers over three paneled cabinet doors. Each drawer front is decorated with an elongated carved diamond motif centered by a circular brass pull, while the doors repeat the geometric decoration on a larger scale and retain diamond-shaped brass key escutcheons.
Raised on short tapered feet, the buffet has a long, clean silhouette and generous enclosed storage. The aged painted surface reveals subtle areas of wear that accentuate the carved details and give the piece depth and character.
