Description
A beautifully proportioned Italian 19th century Louis XVI style bedside table, exquisitely crafted in walnut and richly inlaid with boxwood, maple, and bois de rose. The façade is distinguished by refined geometric parquetry and a central oval medallion motif, showcasing the precision and artistry of master cabinetmaking.
A delicate frieze drawer sits above a drop-front cupboard door that opens to reveal practical interior storage, making the piece as functional as it is decorative. Slender tapered legs, accented with fine inlaid details, lend elegance and lightness to the silhouette, perfectly reflecting the disciplined grace of the Louis XVI aesthetic. The top is equally refined, finished with subtle inlaid borders that frame the surface with quiet sophistication.
Both bedside table and occasional cabinet, this piece offers remarkable versatility, ideal beside a bed, flanking a sofa, or used as an accent in a refined sitting room. Its scale, craftsmanship, and noble materials make it exceptionally desirable.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
