Description
French console or occasional table constructed with a solid elm slab top resting on twisted wrought-iron legs. The base is joined by four iron stretchers that support a small lower central wooden shelf, creating a bold, sculptural framework. The contrast between the organic elm surface and the raw iron structure exemplifies the Brutalist aesthetic of the period, resulting in a highly architectural and visually striking piece.
