Description
This elegant coffee table was designed by Bertil Söderberg in the mid-1930s and produced by the Swedish company Svensk Hemslöjd. The design is defined by a sculptural, four-legged base crafted from solid birch. The top features a rounded square shape and is veneered in burled elm wood. The striking veneer, arranged in four mirrored segments, creates a refined visual effect that highlights the wood's distinct burl grain.
Its proportions make it a versatile piece—it can function as a coffee table, a larger side table, or an occasional table.
The table is in overall good condition. The top shows some minor signs of wear and slightly uneven veneer, though these are not very noticeable or distracting due to the busy burl grain.
