This brutalist round dining table, produced in France during the 20th century, embodies a refined balance between structural rigor and the quiet poetics of Wabi-Sabi. The top, composed of reclaimed wooden planks, reveals a richly layered surface marked by tonal variation, subtle irregularities, and traces of earlier use. These imperfections are not incidental but integral, emphasizing a philosophy in which age, weathering, and material honesty contribute to the object’s aesthetic depth.

Comfortably seating six to eight people, its patinated surface invites close observation, where each mark and variation reflects the passage of time and a respect for natural processes. In this way, the piece resonates strongly with Wabi-Sabi principles, where beauty is found in impermanence and imperfection. All our rustic furniture has undergone a two-cycle preventive woodworm treatment for long-term care.
