Available now, this Mid-Century Modern round table in hardwood & marble designed by Celina in Brazil in the sixties is gorgeous!

This Brazilian Modern beauty is executed in Brazilian Rosewood (as known as Jacaranda) with a "X" shape base and blade marble top. The Jacaranda has been refinished displaying colorful and smooth veins and the marble repolished. Besides the marks of age, the piece is in excellent condition. The manufacture seal is on top of the base under the marble top.

This iconic table of Brazil in the 1960s will flex into any Mid-Century Modern, Modern, Minimalistic, or even Transitional environment. This table fits 4 to 6 comfortably.

Celina Decoracoes was created in 1951 when Munis Zilberberg took over the family business - a small upholstery workshop that worked on refurbishing sofa beds and antique furniture. The name is a tribute to her mother, Celina Zilberberg. Celina Decorações embraced the term "interior architecture" and proposed complete ambiances to the public using the company's furniture, appropriating the mass communication vehicles to launch itself.

About Brazilian rosewood, also called Jacaranda, is perhaps one of the most beautiful woods in the world. It is regarded as one of the finest tone woods; hard, stiff, and highly resonant with a glass-like ring that sustains; it has a floral scent, like roses, thus the name.

However, extensive over logging over the past three centuries has virtually eliminated this tree from the Brazilian forests, so that today it is not supposed to be logged. The only material that can be sold legally is old stock. By owning a vintage piece made of old Jacaranda, you’re not only getting a beautiful collectible but also helping this species to recuperate.
