English 19th Century William and Mary-Style Walnut Gate-Leg Dining Table
-
Description
This handsome walnut gate-leg table, c. 1890, is from England and crafted in the William and Mary style which was popular in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom from 1700 – 1725. The surface, with two drop-leaves, features canted corners and robustly-turned legs on brass casters and a like-turned stretcher with bracket feet. The two drop-leaves allow for the table to be set to the side when not being dined upon while still allowing for usable surface space. Very convenient!
