French art deco tinted oak wood serving table 1940

$ 9,500
  • Description
    This very beautiful tinted solid oak serving table was produced early mid-century and results from a remarkable example of an anonymous cabinetmaker. It fully embodies the post-war modernist aesthetic, favoring a functional and disciplined approach to design. The vertical structure, understated and slightly inclined, supports two rectangular trays with subtly raised edges, which can be adjusted in height with a simple hand movement thanks to an integrated shelving system. This functional feature enhances ease of use while reinforcing the graphic clarity of the overall composition. The solid base and finely crafted central upright testify to a high level of craftsmanship, where each detail is considered with precision. The balance achieved between clean lines, modern volumes and the warmth of the wood gives this serving table a timeless presence. The table has been fully restored and polished, and is found in a great condition.
