French Modern Set of 3 Nesting Tables with Red & Orange Ceramic Tile Tops, 1950s

$ 4,400
  • Description
    This rare set of three nesting tables was produced in France in the 1950s. The design is strongly reminiscent of the vibrant ceramic-tiled production associated with Vallauris and the sculptural modernist work of Robert and Jean Cloutier. While the exact maker remains unidentified, the quality and execution suggest a workshop operating within this expressive mid-century ceramic tradition.

    The design is defined by highly decorative and vibrant tops, each composed of hand-coloured ceramic tiles in red, orange, and darker tones. The slender metal frames are finished in black lacquer, enhancing the striking and playful appearance of the set.
    The nesting design allows the tables to sit compactly together when not in use, combining functionality with a striking decorative presence.

    The set remains in good, entirely original condition, showing minor wear consistent with age and use.

    Dimensions:
