This rare pair of armchairs was designed and produced by Frits Henningsen in Denmark in the early 1930s.
The frames are crafted from solid mahogany, showcasing warm tones and finely executed joinery characteristic of Henningsen’s craftsmanship. The gently curved armrests flow seamlessly from the back uprights, creating a graceful, continuous silhouette that highlights the chairs’ classical proportions. The backrests are fitted with French cane, in keeping with the lightness of the design. The generously proportioned seats are upholstered in Niger leather in a warm caramel hue. The leather’s soft, matte surface complements the richness of the mahogany and is finished with decorative nailhead trim.
The chairs are in very good, restored condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and previous use.
