French Vintage Mid-Century Architect’s Drafting Desk

Dimensions: 70” H x 60 ½” W x 33 ½” D
A monumental architect’s drafting table from Paris, circa 1950, the UNIC brand is a class of its own for the quality of materials and intuitive features. The broad work surface of maple is punctured with tiny pin holes from repeatedly tacking up and revising hand-drawn renderings; the panel is mounted on an iron contraption that easily lifts and folds from a flat position to vertical by the counterweight cylinder on the backside. At the floor is a wide storage box mounted with a footrest. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to maintain every unique feature. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
