Description
This rare side table was designed by Frits Henningsen and produced in Denmark in the 1940s. The table is stamped with the model number 1570 on the underside of the top.
Executed in solid mahogany, the table demonstrates precise cabinetmaking and a disciplined approach to proportion typical of Frits Henningsen’s work. The circular top is finely turned with a gently upturned edge, forming a subtle raised rim. It is joined to a tapered, lathe-turned central column with clean transitional detailing. The column terminates in a tripod base composed of three evenly spaced, arched legs. The legs lend the table a light and sculptural visual profile.
The table is in very good, restored condition with only minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. -
