Description
An elegant and rare circa 1815 English regency period rosewood writing table of 'kidney' form by legendary English cabinetmaking firm Gillows of Lancaster and London, the shaped top having possibly original gilt-tooled green leather inset writing surface above a single 'secret' or concealed drawer on finely carved and turned reeded legs ending in Gillow's signature 'spear' form foot on brass casters. Knee clearance measures 23.75".
