Description
Jean Claude Dresse, large coffee table at 144 cm wide, black resin, brass, agate and steel, Belgium, 1980s. The piece has its original base, but our in house atelier could provide a bespoke base. Black resin tabletop that is inlayed with brass and a large agate gemstone. The oval tabletop shows the art drawn by Dresse in the resin and etched after. The coffee table is in great condition and signed on the side. Jean Claude Dresse (1946-) is a Belgian artist and designer. He graduated from the art academy in Charleroi. He makes use of precious metals such as brass and copper. Together with his father he was a prominent figure in the furniture business in the 1980s and he belongs to the artistic Walloon school that focused on glamorous aesthetics.
