Description
Elegant French Art Deco desk by Jules Leleu, circa 1934, veneered in richly figured rosewood and centered by a rectangular parchment (parchemin) writing panel that adds a soft, matte counterpoint to the lustrous top.
The broad overhanging top rests on two architectural, slightly curved pedestal supports set on stepped plinth bases with subtle ribbed detailing, giving the piece a strong, sculptural presence typical of Maison Leleu.
On each side, a shallow drawer with square metal pull provides convenient storage for writing accessories while maintaining the clean, horizontal lines of the design.
Beautifully proportioned and fully restored, this desk offers a generous working surface and refined material palette, making it ideal for a sophisticated office, library, or living room.
