Description
This Mid-Century Ceramic Tile & Polished Aluminum Coffee Table by Juliette Belarti embodies the perfect balance between artistic creativity and functional design. A stunning example of modernist craftsmanship from the mid-20th century, the table showcases Belarti’s bold aesthetic and innovative approach to materials, making it both a practical piece of furniture and an exquisite work of art. The table’s standout feature is its ceramic tile surface.
Featuring a speckled smoked mustard glaze with a stunning organic splash motif applied on top in black with mottled white texturing emerging through the black splashes.
Each tile is meticulously crafted, displaying a dynamic organic glaze, hallmarks of Belarti’s artistic style. The textured richness and visual depth created by the tiles transform the table into an artistic centerpiece that commands attention in any room.
Complementing the ceramic tile top is the gleaming, polished aluminum base. Sleek and modern, the base offers a sharp yet subtle contrast to the earthy texture of the tiles. Its reflective surface adds an element of sophistication and lightness, tying together the table’s overall design while enhancing its distinct artistic presence.
Juliette Belarti was celebrated for her ability to merge artistic expression with functional furniture, and this coffee table provides a striking representation of her creative legacy. It is more than just a piece of decor—it is a sculptural statement rooted in the Mid-Century Modern, Brutalist, and Artistic Modernist movements. Belarti’s designs continue to be sought after by collectors and connoisseurs, as they encapsulate the blend of art and everyday functionality that defines mid-century design.
This coffee table is destined to bring artistic vibrancy to modern interiors, whether placed in the home of an avid collector or as a bold feature in a contemporary living space. The artistry and craftsmanship of Belarti’s work ensure this table is not merely a functional object but a timeless testament to the ingenuity of Mid-Century design. Good Vintage Condition.
