A refined Louis XVI period writing desk from the 18th century, crafted in warm walnut with understated brass trim. This elegant secrétaire features a clean, architectural silhouette characteristic of neoclassical design, with a slanted drop-leaf front that opens to reveal a beautifully organized writing interior.

Inside, you’ll find four small drawers and an open arched compartment, ideal for stationery or personal items. The writing surface is broad and well-proportioned, supported when open by internal brackets. A discreet drawer runs the width of the front apron, enhancing both function and symmetry.

The desk is raised on tall, tapering square legs with subtle molded accents, giving the piece a graceful verticality. The surface showcases the natural grain of the walnut, mellowed to a rich, warm tone by time.
