    MID 18TH CENTURY FRENCH LOUIS XV VIOLET WOOD BUREAU PLAT
    The shaped top with cross-banded marquetry violetwood veneer above a conforming frieze. The desk opens with three
    drawers on one side, with gilt bronze escutcheons in the rococo taste, the other side looks the same but the drawers are
    dummy and do not open. The cabriole legs mounted at the top corner with gilt bronze scrolling chutes and coordinating mounts at the bottom terminating in cabochon sabots.
    Faded leather top with gold tooling.
