vvThis striking two-tier coffee table exemplifies Italian neoclassical revival design, executed in polished cast brass or bronze with a distinctly architectural character. The table is supported by five sculptural cast legs, each enriched with a finely detailed pinecone (pigna) motif, a classical symbol deeply embedded in Roman architectural and decorative tradition and long associated with eternity, balance, and refinement.

The pronounced use of the pinecone form—rather than abstract or biomorphic ornament—suggests production by a Roman-influenced Italian metalworking atelier, likely active during the 1950s–1960s, when classical motifs were reinterpreted in luxury furnishings for both domestic and export markets. While unmarked, the crispness of the casting, the disciplined symmetry, and the material richness align with high-quality Italian workshop production rather than later Hollywood Regency reinterpretations.

Two circular glass tiers provide an elegant contrast of mass and transparency. The upper tier is executed in lighter ¼-inch glass, creating a refined floating effect, while the lower tier is crafted in substantial ¾-inch glass, visually anchoring the composition and emphasizing the table’s architectural intent. The polished edges of the glass allow uninterrupted views of the sculptural metal supports from every angle.
