This refined pair of Swedish Gustavian demi-lune consoles, dating to circa 1880, exemplifies the neoclassical elegance that defined the late 19th century revival of Gustavian design. Each table is crafted with a semi-circular top resting on four tapered legs, their slender form accentuated by delicately carved fluting. The apron is decorated with stylized rosettes and guilloche motifs, further emphasizing their classical inspiration.

The pale white-painted finish, softly distressed with age, enhances the crisp carvings while evoking the light, airy aesthetic so closely associated with Scandinavian interiors. Their graceful form allows them to function beautifully as console tables in an entryway, living room, or dining space, whether placed together as a pair or separately for symmetry.
