You are viewing a very special and documented one of a kind Paul Evans coffee table c.1968. Designed in the original studio on Aquetong Road. New Hope,PA. A few things to point out. 1. This is massive example from the Reversed series. 2. It was specially ordered to these specifications by Mrs. Rima Schulkind. 3. This was purchased from the original owner by us, Fritz and Hollander and never seen until now. 4. The condition is exceptional and like new. Most of these tables have suffered oxidation, turn brown and have lost most of its fire from the unique weld cutting process, but not this one. The reason this piece has retained its original look (please see all photos) it was in one spot for the last 48 years and never moved. It was located in an area of the home that was covered with shades and never saw the light of day. 5. It is signed! these tables were rarely signed by Paul Evans and clearly show his full signature as well as the date. 6. The glass is original. 7. Only fifteen of these tables were made in various sizes with this being possibly the largest one.

The table should be seen in person to appreciate the full composition. The color from the welding technique show the natural reds, browns and orange as clear as day throughout the piece. It is also very heavy without the glass. Proportionately it looks perfect when standing next to it and not over bearing. The table portrays elegance with absolute brutal design. Any collector of brutalism or Paul Evans will have a truly rare example in there home. From an investment standpoint it will clearly escalate in price as the years go on, it is a work of art.
