Small Table Veneered In Olive Wood And Inlaid In Different Woods, 18th Century
-
Description
A refined late 18th century Tuscan side table, beautifully veneered in olive wood and inlaid with various contrasting woods to create a striking geometric composition.
The square top is centered by an oval inlaid medallion framed within a double border, radiating outward in a sunburst pattern. Two additional frames near the edge enhance the symmetry and visual balance of the design.
The straight apron features a discreet drawer, adding functionality to the piece, while the tapered truncated pyramid legs reflect the clean lines and elegance of late Neoclassical proportions. With its warm tones and meticulous craftsmanship, this table exemplifies the decorative artistry of Tuscan cabinetry in the late 1700s. Ideal as a side or occasional table, it brings both historical depth and visual interest to any refined interior.
