Reflecting a playful vein in Cartier's Art Deco sensibility, this bracelet is full of movement and casual glamor.

During the 1910s and 1920s, Cartier drew inspiration from a wide variety of cultures to create their unique, inimitable aesthetic - intriguing, appealing, global, chic, and intellectual. For decades they led the world in jewelry design. Here, the bracelet's design is informed by the palette of Islamic tiles and intarsia of lapis and turquoise, and the opulent bead creations of Indian jewelry traditions. In the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, under the leadership of Jeanne Toussaint, Louis' handpicked successor, the firm continued to design subtle yet opulent jewelry of gem beads, including bracelets and necklaces for top clients such as the Duchess of Windsor.
