Piet Hein
Danish, 1905 - 1996
Born in Denmark in 1905, Piet Hein was a mathematician, author, poet and designer. He studied at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Copenhagen and also at the Technical University of Denmark. Hein proposed the superellipse become the focus of Scandinavian architecture His furniture and other designs sought to include the super ellipse and super egg in his designs.
