Description
Large wood polychrome Guan Ying head is dated to late Ming / early Ching dynasty. The fine features of the Bodhisattva has a clear Indo-sino influence with slightly hooked nose, high cheekbones and upward eyelid, all conveying a deep compassion. Beautiful patina of ages and some residues of polychrome at lips.
