Description
A seldom seen, highly detailed table top model of a Miniature World Globe with a compass nestled inside. Excellent to mint condition. Quite rare, the globe is a separate sphere that sits on a small base. Beautifully crafted, with continents and details in bas relief, it is a scientific instrument as well as a decorative model. Marked Germany at the bottom of the face of the compass with patent number and sterling on bottom half of the globe. Believed to be American Silver , although the compass was manufactured in Germany. A World in the Palm of your Hands!
