1955, Ilmari Tapiovaara 'Maija' floor lamp for Asko/Hienoterä. A rare original vintage edition made in Finland and in excellent condition. This highly refined and sculptural lamp casts beautifully diffused slices of warm light with two original long-tube incandescent bulbs with medium bases. Ilmari Tapiovaara was a creative powerhouse of midcentury Finnish design who has become increasingly valued by collectors for the unique timelessness of his work.
