Description
This contemporary pendant lamp design is inspired by geometric patterns and angles. The design is based on traditional metalworking techniques such as bronze casting, hand-crafting of brass parts and using salvaged vintage opaline glass. The position of the arms and glass shades can be varied by loosening screws. Shown here with a 66 cm (26”) rod (highest part of the lamp is at 35 cm / 14” from the ceiling). Opaline glass shades (metal ring plus the 2 glass shades) are 55 cm x 9 cm (21.7” x 3,6”). Height can be customized to your needs at no additional cost. Shown here (main image) with handmade brown patinated bronze and brass finish. It can be ordered in a matte brass finish (see images section). Package with hanging-arm and canopy (package size: 28 cm x 50 cm x 75 cm / 11” x 19.7” x 29.5”). Eight bulbs. Recommended: 4W warm light led bulbs (Maximum: 200 W in total).
Thierry Jeannot (b. 1963) is a French-born designer living in Mexico for the last 25 years. Working across product design, interior and social design, he focuses on generating high added value to recycled materials through design. He is interested in traditional techniques and materials and has worked closely with craftspeople both in Paris (in the 80ies with Thierry Mugler) and now in Mexico City. He follows a design philosophy where design and the production process are never separated. He always designs and constructs the pieces himself and with his close net of specialist workshops, artisans and craftspeople. -
