Description
Pair of oil paintings by Francisco Rodriguez San Clemente (Spanish, 1861- 1956) : signed bottom right and professionally custom framed. Trained at Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid, Francisco Rodriguez san Clemente found himself happiest traveling around Europe in gypsy caravans, documenting the various cultures he encountered along the way. While in these caravans, Francisco became enamored with flamenco and would focus his energy almost exclusively into documenting the figures and forms of its dancers with vibrant colors and fluid brushstrokes for the majority of his career.
