A rare German silver incense burner lamp, by Wilh. Rauscher, Pope's Court Jeweler, and Gold/Silversmith, circa 19th century.
Measures: 11" x 6.5 " burner
Solid cast 800 silver two-part incense burner, open work with floral-scroll and cherub design, copper incense insert cup with iron hook, silver plated chains attached to 800 silver hand holder. Marked with "Wilh. Rauscher / Papstl. Hofjuwelier / Hof & Domgoldschmied /Fulda", pictorial Papal crown, ribbons with cross, Papal staff and triple cross, along with 800 crescent moon and crown, "made in Germany" underneath.
Overall weight of silver, with chains, but without copper insert, 32.9 toz.
