Wooden tambour screen by Baumann, Paris, c.1930
-
Description
Undulating, free-form tambour screen made of slats of stained pine by Baumann c.1930. The metal label reads "PARAVENT / BAUMANN / MELUN-PARIS". Very nice original condition. The wonder of this screen is the total flexibility of its shape and movement - from curled into a column to flat against the wall and every shape in between. Please note: this item is currently stored off-site and can be viewed at the NYDC Gallery by request.
