Description
Large and impressive neoclassical painting after Piat Joseph Sauvage of putti on a column base holding a portrait medallion with garlands, in a gilded frame. This was probably envisioned as an overdoor panel. The painting is signed Sauvage on the lower left but is likely to be a 19th century creation, though possibly of the18th century. Dimensions given are the overall frame size - the image size is 56.75" high by 40.24" wide.
