This exquisite chinoiserie reverse hand-painted glass, gilt and églomisé mirror was realized by the esteemed American producer, La Barge, circa 1980. The piece features two chromed and reeded rectangular frames with a gilded hand-painted chinoiserie motifs in the centre. These depictions are culled from ancient Chinese scroll paintings and include renderings of butterflies, cranes, willow trees, stone bridges and song birds among other images. The inner chrome reeded rectangular form encompasses bevelled mirror. This mirror is in excellent condition. Signed "K Volkers 78."
