George Smillie was best known for his Hudson River School style of painting but later adopted the Impressionist style with a more forceful brush and lightened palette as seen here in this landscape view.
Smillie exhibited at most of the well-known academies and fine art clubs and is well represented in major museums and collections nation-wide. -
