Reference: Weir often used family heirlooms in his interior shots. The New York blockfront kneehole in the painting is almost certainly the Weir family example currently in the collection of The MFA, Boston. Please see Edward Hipkiss, M. and M. Karolik Collection of American Arts, entry 70. -
