Description
This pair of Art Deco side tables is attributed to Joubert et Petit for DIM (Décoration Intérieure Moderne), a renowned French workshop active in the 1920s and 1930s, Each tabla features a round top and a robust central column, showcasing the geometric simplicity and fine woods and amber glass tops characteristic of DIM’s prestigious commissions, DIM furniture is known for meticulous finishing, with elegant grain and polished surfaces, often produced in small editions for a select clientele.
The collaboration between René Joubert and Philippe Petit began in 1924, bringing together a tradition-inspired yet modernist approach to French furniture, Joubert et Petit exhibited internationally, achieving great acclaim at the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and their works are considered exemplary in French Art Deco design. - More Information
