Italian Mid-Century Modern coffee table attributed to Piero Fornasetti. The table suspended on 4 angled black metal legs with a dynamic screen printed and lacquered top featuring the landmarks of New York City, circa 1950. The landmarks include the Empire State Building, United Nations, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Chinatown, the George Washington Bridge and Grants Tomb.
Related designers: Gio Ponti and Fornasetti frequently collaborated on projects. Surrealism. -

Origin: Italy Period: 1950-1979 Materials: Plywood, Steel, Enameled, Lacquered. Condition: Good. Repaired: There are some cracks in the thick lacquer finish and there are some small losses along the edges. The losses were previously repaired and are not noticeable.
