Still Life with Flowers like Kisling
-
Description
A glowing scarlet vase with colorful chrysanthemums is depicted on a tabletop and set against a simple colorful background. This still life with flowers was most likely done in the 1930s and looks something like the still lifes with flowers by Moise Kisling. The still life is signed lower right Nordfeldt and inscribed "still life" on verso. The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by Professor Gabriel P. Weisberg. It is framed. The overall condition is good with a small repair 3/4 in. x 3/4 in. in the upper center-right. Unlined. There is an unobtrusive stretcher bar impression on the top of the work. The painting is best viewed with a top gallery light to bring out an array of subtle colors.
